When exactly is rainy season happening in Nicaragua and does this mean you should not visit Nicaragua during the rainy season?

What to expect during rainy season in Nicaragua?
Rainy season in Nicaragua is nothing like rainy season in India (monsoon). We are talking about heavy rains almost everyday but not continuous so you have to stay inside your hotel room for several days or cancel part of your trips. In the North of Nicaragua, where our surf camp -
Los Clavos Surf Camp Nicaragua
- is located, rainy season does not affect our guests; we surf everyday as the rain mostly happens during late afternoon or during the night.

When is rainy season in Nicaragua ?
Rainy season starts in early May in Nicaragua and it ends in October. Our
surf camp
remains open from May to early September as it does not affect our guests'vacation. We surf everyday, do yoga, go horseback-riding and sometimes watch the lightnings crash into the ocean at sunset together under the big rancho!
July and August are the dry month of the rainy season in Nicaragua - Perfect for a summer vacation :-)
September and October are usually very rainy, so we close the
surf camp
during these last two months of the rainy season in Nicaragua.
Surf, Yoga and Relax in remote location with max 12 guests in North Nicaragua
SHOULD YOU TRAVEL TO NICARAGUA DURING RAINY SEASON?
Except for September and October, we say YES! Nature is beautiful during rainy season in Nicaragua and waves are good with less people surfing. Our favorite rainy season months are June and July when the land is green again and the outside temperature is lower than during the rest of the year with maybe less tourists around. Of course some roads might be closed during rainy season but Nicaragua has
so many things to do that it shall not alter your vacation at all.
Come surf and relax with us in North Nicaragua!
