Surf camp vacation in San Juan del Sur - Nicaragua

Nicaragua has become a reference in terms of surf over the past few years; gaining a reputation for its good waves and beautiful beaches. San Juan Del Sur is a little town nested on a quiet bay on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua, surounded by more than 10 beaches and surf breaks all suitable for a wonderful surf camp vacation.

 

 

Many types of accomodation are available in San Juan Del Sur, hostals, hotels, surf camps or even rooms for rent.

If you really want to surf we recommend that you choose a surf camp in which surf boards and daily trips to surf spots re included.  If you travel  on the cheap, just find a room downtown and rent a board in any surf shop. 

 

 

San Juan del Sur's bay itself is not a surf spot. Take a shuttle from the city center (you can ask Bastien from O'shop www.oshopnicaragua.com) and try out one of the surf spots around: Playa Maderas is very well know but might be crowded sometimes; playa Hermosa is reallly worth the drive and playa Remanso is must see surf spots.
